UK Chinese Dance Class:

Our Chinese dance classes are aim to provide an environment where the beauty and the philosophy of Chinese culture can be learned and appreciated, through the history and the elegant movement of Chinese Dance. And it is a professional approach to Chinese dance technique for dance lovers. All the Dance's curriculum is based mainly on the syllabus of the Beijing Dance Academy (北京舞蹈學院), where learning dance is an art as well as a science.. With an emphasis on basic training and body rhythm, students are introduced to various Chinese Folk Dances, Ethnic Dances, Chinese Classical Dances, Ballet and Modern Jazz. We still stress the emphasis is on fun while developing and improving pupils’ ability and confidence

 

About Chinese Dance Instructor

We have a team of talented dance artists from China all of whom are trained in Classical Ethnical or Folk styles. Some are trained in contemporary ballet as well. They are qualified chinese dance teachers and experienced in working with pupils of all ages and abilities. All of our teachers have CRB checked.


Timetable & Fees

  • Adult Classes (£5 per hour)
    Instructor: Susie Liu

    Saturdays 1pm-2pm: Chinese Classical/Traditional Dance (All Levels, no experience required)

    Saturdays 2pm-3pm: Chinese Ethnic/ Folk Dance (All Levels, no experience required)

    Dress Code: lose and comfortable, ballet shoes

  • Children Class:
    Instructor: Zephyr Lan

VENUE: The Dancehouse Theatre (opposite BBC), 10 Oxford Rd, M1 5QA
